Abstract: This study presents an analysis of Italian legal science from the end of the 19th century to the first decades of the 20th century. It focuses on Professor Giampietro Chironi, one of the most renowned scholars of the Facoltà di Giurisprudenza of the University of Turin. The paper deals with key issues, including the French Ecole de l’Exegèse method and the new German system, as well as the importance of Chironi, who developed an interdisciplinary approach and whose many areas of research include Family Law, Property Law, Inheritance Law, Tort Liability, and Roman Law.
